Two Join Management Faculty


The Department of Management is proud to introduce the following new faculty members:

DR. GRANT MILES


Dr. Grant Miles joins the faculty at UNT after 2 years as an Assistant Professor in the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He received his B.A. from the University of California t Davis and his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Miles teaches in the area of organization theory and business strategy. His research interests include the study of the effects of competition on industry dynamics, organizational learning and evolution, and the exploration of strategic approaches which provide synergistic benefits to both business and society. His publications include feces in the Strategic Managenent Journal and the Journal of Business Ethics.

DR. WAYNE STEWART

Dr. Wayne Stewart is a Visiting Assistant Professor in International Business and Strategic Management. He earned a BSBA in Finance and an MBA from Western Carolina University. His Ph.D. is in Organizational Theory and Policy from the University of North Texas. Dr. Stewart taught two years at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas before returning this semester. His research efforts have been focused in entrepreneurship.

Prior to entering academia, Dr. Stewart spent six years in the hotel/restaurant industry, where he co-owned and managed The Frog & Owl Cafe, an internationally renowned restaurant, in Highlands, North Carolina.
