Accounting Student Advisory Board Members
Mission: Our goals are to bring awareness of the opportunities in accounting to students. In addition, we provide a voice for students to express their concerns regarding the accounting department, its courses, and its professors. Duties now include representation of the department at university events and helping students discover the possibilities that go with majoring in accounting.
Lee Allgood

Lee will be graduating in August of 2006 with his Masters of Science in accounting from the University of North Texas. During his time at UNT, he has been a supplemental instructor, teaching assistant, and coordinator of the student advisory board. Over the past 2 years, Lee has worked his way up from an intern to a full time employee of Cain, Watters & Associates, P.C.
Troy Dickerson

Troy is a fifth year BS/MS accounting student with a focus in external audit. He recently completed an internship with PriceWaterhouseCopper LLP in the Spring of 2005. After graduation in December of 2006, he plans to start full-time with PwC. While at North Texas, Troy has worked as a teaching assistant as well as a Resident Assistant in the housing department.
Lesley Hamilton

Lesley is currently a master's student studying tax accounting. She will graduate with her BS/MS in May 2006. She is currently working for a big-four accounting firm and will continue working there once she graduates.
Eric Olsen

Eric is currently in the BS/MS accounting program specializing in taxation. He was a member of Beta Alpha Psi and did a tax internship with KPMG.
Byron Pike

Byron is currently enrolled as a PhD and Masters of Accountancy student at the University of North Texas. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Minnesota State University, Mankato. While at Minnesota State, Byron had the opportunity to be an intern in Best Buy Corporation's accounting department. Prior to joining UNT in the fall of 2005, Byron spent three years as an auditor at KPMG LLP.
Letitia Pleis

Letitia is currently a PhD student studying behavioral decision making in accounting. Before starting the PhD program, she worked as a financial analyst at Acxiom Corporation where she was in charge of the general accounting for four business units. She earned her BBA in accounting and her MBA at the University of Central Arkansas.
Shekita Rawls

Shekita Rawls is currently a part-time MS accounting student specializing in audit. She was a member of UNT National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) student chapter from 2003-2004 and served has Vice-President of Administrative Affairs. As an undergraduate, Shekita became an INROADS intern at Brinker International. She now works for Brinker as a full-time Fixed Asset Accountant.
