Benefits to Members
Lifetime Recognition
Beta Gamma Sigma membership provides recognition for a lifetime. As the highest national recognition a business student can earn, it is appropriate to include Beta Gamma Sigma membership on one's resume.
Scholarship Program
Society members are eligible to compete for the Society's annual scholarship awards. Since 1988, Beta Gamma Sigma has awarded more than $250,000 in student scholarships to outstanding student members from across the country.
Educational Tours
On an ongoing basis, the Society offers business/educational tours for the membership.
This year, Beta Gamma Sigma is planning a trip to China. The Beta Gamma Sigma Yangtse Tour is scheduled for September 26-October 9, 1998.
Lifelong learning through BGS News
The Society publishes the BGS News two times per year with distribution to 250,000 BGS members. The newsletter keeps the membership informed of the Society's activities and provides lifelong learning opportunities for the Society's membership through articles addressing current business topics.
Alumni Receptions
On an ongoing basis, the Board of Governors hosts alumni receptions in various metropolitan areas. All Beta Gamma Sigma members in that area are invited to attend the reception where they hear a prominent business speaker and meet with other Beta Gamma Sigma members.Alumni Chapters
A focus this past year has been on the expansion of the Alumni Chapter program. With our first alumni chapter well established in New York, we have recently added the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter. In addition, plans are underway to add the Chicago and Boston alumni chapters in 1998. This is an exciting program that contributes to Beta Gamma Sigma's commitment to lifelong learning. It also adds more value to an individual's lifetime membership in the Society.
Beta Gamma Sigma VisaŽ Card
This custom-designed card is offered exclusively to BGS members. By using the card, persons can identify themselves as members of Beta Gamma Sigma while also helping to fund scholarships and other projects of the Society.
