Teaching Interests
I teach undergraduate and graduate classes
in finance. During Spring 2004, I am teaching three courses:

I am the Past President of the Southwestern Finance Association. You may read more

Houston at the Hyatt Regency, in conjunction with the Federation

Financial Services Center
I am one of the departmental advisor to the
University of North Texas - Financial Services Center. You can find more
information about the center here. Other Interests
My interests largely involve reading and music. I moved to Texas and discovered Texas Music. I
have fallen in love with it. Some of my favorite Texas songwriters are Guy Clark, Jack Ingram,
Charlie Robison, Robert Earl Keen, and Lyle Lovett. One of my favorite authors is University of
North Texas alum Larry McMurtry. Larry is from Archer City, TX and has a large collection of
antiquarian books at his Booked Up bookstore in Archer City.
I like trains. That reflects the child in me. I still get a thrill watching trains go by.
I also am a Civil War buff and have a fairly extensive collection of Civil War related books and
some art. You can find out more about this absorbing historic event here or here.
I am a baseball fan. In particular, the St. Louis Cardinals. I also enjoy playing golf and watching
tournaments on television.
