Summer Schedule
During Summer Session 1, I will teach INSU 2500 both during the day and the
evening. |
Fall Teaching Schedule
In the Fall I teach INSU 2500 and INSU 4300.
INSU 2500 is an introductory course in insurance that is suitable for both business and
non-business majors. In this course I teach the class about the fundamentals of insurance and risk
management. Of particular interest to many students is an ongoing dialogue about how to shop
wisely for your auto and homeowners insurance.
INSU 4300 is a course in commercial liability risk management and insurance. While this course
was originally designed for insurance majors, many students majoring in other fields take this
course as a supporting course or as a free elective and do quite well in it. In this course we
discuss how businesses are subject to liability for their actions and how to manage these troubling
and expensive liability risks.

Spring Teaching Schedule
During Spring Semesters I teach INSU 2500 and INSU 4310. INSU 2500 is
described above, and INSU 4310 is a course in commercial property insurance and insurance
company operations. While this course was originally designed for insurance majors, many
students majoring in other fields take this course as a supporting course or as a free elective and
do quite well in it.
