Professor Boyd currently teaches courses in human resource management and organizational behavior, and she is a trained facilitator for the National Coalition Building Institute's prejudice reduction workshops.
Dr. Boyd's recent research interests are in the areas of leadership, including leader/follower interpersonal relationships and the cognitive aspects of transformational leadership, and the linkage between organizational competencies and strategy. She has published articles in several journals, including Journal of Management, Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice, and the Journal of Management Education. A forthcoming article, "Competition, Cooperation and the Search for Economic Rents: A Syncretic Model," will appear in the Academy of Management Review.
