10 Dec 2007 - Semester Grades
(pre-final) The course/semester grades are posted up to Quiz 13 and Exam 2. I will take the best 8 quiz scores you have (max. of 40 pts). Attendance points are based on the first 8 quizzes for the semester (max. of 10 pts). This does not take into consideration the peer evaluations and HW (see below). It does give you a way to calculate what you need on the final for a particular grade. Click here to see the semester grades. See the syllabus for the point breakdown for A - F. 10 Dec 2007 - Homework GradesThe team homework grades are posted. This does not take into consideration the peer evaluations but it does give you the maximum possible points you can get (max. possible is 140 pts - depends on how many your team earned and whether you receive 100% on the peer evaluation). Click here to see the team HW grades. 27 Nov 2007 - Grades Most of your grades are posted with your code name. I don't have the HW scores on there since they depend on your Peer Evaluation but someone in the group should have all of your submissions with the grades on them. Click here to see the grades. 13 Nov 2007 - Exam Results Exam 2 results are posted with your code name. Apparently I forgot to come back to add the link last week. Click here to see the grades. We will review the exam briefly tonight and move on to the last section of the course. The individual assignment you received last week is due tonight and the group assignment (HW #5) is due next week. 4 Nov 2007 - Exam Results Exam 2 results will be posted on this site later this week with your code name. 24 Oct 2007 - HW Pickup and Exam 2You can pick up your group HW 3 and 4 (in my office). Please print your name on the pick-up sheet so if anyone else comes to get it they will know who in the group has it. Don't forget you can go to the Resource Links page for the textbook link (Project Mgmt - Java applet link is below this message) as well as the extra reading handout for Project Mgmt (link also below). Email me with questions early. Don't wait until Tues. as I may or may not see it in time to reply. 18 Oct 2007 - Project Management 1) Practice Diagrams Online - For additional practice on the FW/BW passes, click here or on the link below. When you get to the screen, select #8 - Critical Path Method. It will launch a Java applet. There are 5 different networks to choose from. You can compute the FW/BW passes and slack for the network. Then click on the "Auto" button and the table will be filled in for you to check your answers. For additional practice you can change the "TIME" column values to anything less than 30. This gives you an infinite number of practice diagrams with solutions. http://highered.mcgraw-hill.com/sites/0072869054/student_view0/interactive_om.html# 2) Crashing Examples - Click here to download the solutions for the two crashing examples from class. 11 Oct 2007 - Project Management File to Download Make sure you download and bring this document to class next week. It's probably a good idea to read it, too. ;o) Click here to download. 10 Oct 2007 - Saving Files for MGMT 3830 Due to incompatibility between MS Word® 2003 and MS Word® 2007, all files for this class must be saved in the MS Word 2003 format. Please follow the instructions below to save all files in this compatible format. If you have Office® 2007, then when saving the file, choose “File”, “Save As”, at the bottom (below where you would type the file name) there is a drop-down list next to “Save as Type”. This usually defaults to whatever file-type and software-version (like Word 2007) you are currently using on the computer. Click on the down arrow to the right of “Save as Type,” and it will bring up a variety of other file types. Select the “Word 97-2003” option, you will still be able to open the file and so will I. This is a simple, but necessary procedure that works well to ensure compatibility. This same basic procedure will also work for the other MS products such as Excel so you all can swap files for your group homework assignments. 7 Oct 2007 HW #3 - On question 6 (work sampling), the paragraph states there are 500 observations. When you add up the frequencies of observations, they only total 490. Please use 490 for your calculations not 500. 26 Sept 2007I just sent a message to your Eagle Mail with an individual assignment related to our next OM topic (Job Design, Work Measurement, and Learning Curves) attached. This individual assignment needs to be typed and turned in at the beginning of class next week. If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact me. Click here to download the assignment sheet. 13 Sept 2007 I just sent a message to your Eagle Mail with notes and a second example attached. If you can't open the PDF file (7 pages) or it was blocked by your email then you can download it here. Click here to download the notes/2nd example file attached to the email today. 12 Sept 2007 I just sent a message to your Eagle Mail with the example document attached and a short note. I will be sending/posting additional information tomorrow. If you can't open the PDF file let me know. Click here to download the line balancing example file that was attached to the email today. Fall 2007 Welcome to the MGMT 3830 course website. I will use this website to post information that is specifically related to class and may help in your class preparation.
