About PLP

Since 1994, the Professional Leadership Program (PLP) has been a cooperative effort between the University of North Texas College of Business Administration and corporate sponsors in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex community. The purpose of the program is to give you exposure to skills you will need as you prepare for the complex world of employment. PLP provides students with the opportunity to meet with representatives from the corporate community and to attend the same training programs that are required for professionals in a wide variety of businesses and industries.

The program is open to all majors at the university and is specific to junior, senior and graduate students. Members are self-starters and self-motivators who are looking for something that sets them apart from other job-seeking graduates.

Mission:

To prepare students for leadership by fostering qualities of integrity, objectivity, honesty, competency, loyalty and creativity.

Vision:

To assist University of North Texas students with the transition from "backpack to briefcase" as leaders who will make a difference.

Goals:

Provide programs, seminars, training and applied experiences that address leadership in areas of professional, corporate and community development.
