MBA in Strategic Management

Departmental Advisor

Management Advisor's Office

The MBA in Strategic Management interrelates and provides a broad exposure to skills necessary in managing a total organization. Strategic Management involves establishing the major direction, strategies, and broad policies that an organization will follow in pursuit of accomplishing its objectives. This necessary knowledge is important for sustainable growth of businesses and the U.S. economy. Strategic Management is associated with the following career opportunities: consulting jobs; managerial level positions involving administration and organization, as well as managerial positions in more specific areas such as public relations or planning; and facilitation of vertical career promotion (from existing job to a managerial level position in the same job) and horizontal career promotion (from an existing job/function to another position at a managerial level).

The College of Business Administration is delivering fully accredited Web-based courses applicable to the MBA concentration in Strategic Management. Advantages within the Strategic Management concentration include offering both traditional and web based course offerings, Texas State tuition rates, convenient cafeteria scheduling, on-line registration and tuition payment, and completion in 24 months to five years based on your ability and work schedule. An official application is available through the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies.
